Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi
The moment I stepped out of Indira Gandhi International Airport, the cacophony of sounds, a mix of honking vehicles and distant chatter, filled the air. The fragrance of street food, a mixture of spicy chaats and sweet jalebis, wafted towards me.
After checking into my hotel in the heart of the city, I ventured out to India Gate. The monument stood tall, a testament to the brave soldiers who had given their lives for the country. As the sun set, the sky painted a perfect backdrop of oranges and purples.
Day 2: Jaipur – The Pink City
An early morning train took me to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. The city welcomed me with its iconic Hawa Mahal, a palace made of red and pink sandstone. The local bazaars, filled with handicrafts, silver jewelry, and colorful textiles, were a treat to explore.
I ended the day with a traditional Rajasthani meal at a local eatery. The burst of flavors from dishes like Dal Baati Churma and Laal Maas left me craving more.
Day 3: Agra – The City of the Taj
Agra was next on the list. A visit to the Taj Mahal at sunrise was nothing short of magical. This white marble mausoleum, a symbol of undying love, shimmered under the first rays of the sun.
In the evening, I indulged in some Petha, a local sweet delicacy, and explored the Agra Fort, which offered a panoramic view of the city.
